We’re glad to introduce the interview with Lars Lovas, a SOA student from the Masterclass#23.

We’re glad to introduce the interview with Lars Lovas, a SOA student from the Masterclass#23.

Could you present yourself to our readers and tell them the position you currently hold?

My name is Lars Lovas, I graduated as architectural engineer in Budapest, Hungary. In the last year, I started to work on my own as a freelancer, mainly focusing on exterior renders.

Why have you chosen to become an Arch-Viz Artist?

As an architect, I used ArchiCAD to design the buildings. Through this process I found really complicated and limited to modelling my own ideas. Therefore, I decided to try out something new that could handle any architectural form. After some sudden crash, I fell in love with 3ds Max.

Everybody has to deal with sdsMax crashes. A real nightmare. We’re glad to know that you didn’t give up. Why did you decide to attend a SOA course?

It’s often heard that nowadays it’s easier to learn visualization because everything can be found in the internet. For me it was difficult to find out which making-of or tutorial was telling the right information. I preferred to get some professional help about the whole visualization process, so I attended the Masterclass#23.

Did the SOA experience helped you with your career? How?

In the Academy, they taught us not only the technical information, but also all the difficulties that we would have faced in the future. After the course, I had the feeling that I really had to learn a lot more, but I had enough foundations to find out a solution for every different problem. I really appreciate the SOA Group, where I can always return with any question.

You also participated to the AcademyDay. What do you think about the event?

The AcademyDay is always an awaited day of the year, when I can meet with old and new friends to share some experiences.

Is there a work/ an image/ a project that you created which is most valuable to you? Why?

I think it’s hard for everyone to get “the ONE”picture. The most valuable would be the first one created after the Masterclass. I could test myself alone without any tight deadline.

What do you do in your free time after work? Can you balance your working life and your private one?

Sometimes it’s difficult to find the balance, particularly when I’m working hard on a project. To fill up with motivation I practice Filipino martial art four times in a week.

Thanks Lars, we wish you the best with your career!
