We’re glad to introduce the interview with Elias Ferraa, a SOA student from the Masterclass#25.
Could you present yourself to our readers and tell them the position you currently hold?
My name is Elias ferraa,I graduated from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik with a master’s degree in interior architecture. I work as an interior architect and have been running my own Archviz Company (perception architectural visualization) for almost a year now. We are working on 3d exterior and interior visualizations, animation and Virtual reality renders.
Why have you chosen to become an Arch-Viz Artist?
Through my studies, I have always imagined my designs and aimed to push them further. I found V-Ray and 3dsMax two very powerful tools to represent my ideas and expand my creativity as they allowed me to link my imagination with realistic visuals and to clearly show my projects; after all, there is no better way than images presented in a realistic way to transmit an idea to any audience.

What were the biggest difficulties you faced at the beginning of your career? How did you handle and overcome them?
Even though I am very passionate about what I do, the biggest challenge to me was commitment. It takes a huge amount of time to learn all the skills and maintain a high level performance.
Dedication to develop and expand my knowledge is also a must to progress in this competitive field. I have had my ups and down, given that this field always brings new challenges. I tend to overcome my hard times by always looking at the big picture and focusing on my long term goals.
Why did you decide to attend the SOA Masterclass?
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of work that was shared by the Academy. I believe that the results posted by them represent it and that quality is better than any other advertising. This is why I opted to enroll at SOA Academy, aiming to develop my level of quality to the posted perspectives.
How did the course help you improve your skillset and quality of images?
I am glad to say that I have succeeded in doing so. The course allowed me to develop my skills and apply them to accurately represent my vision by using the several learnt methods in the best possible ways.
Is there a work/ an image/ a project that you created which is most valuable to you? Why?
While working on a project I always tend to give all my efforts. I always dedicate myself 100% to create a unique image related to my vision. Therefore, it is hard for me to pick a favorite work/image.

What do you do in your free time after work? Can you balance your working life and your private one?
I always try to handle the pressure and keep a balance between my work and personal life.
Design needs inspiration to reflect quality and beauty, and stress is the enemy of inspiration. This is why I spend my free time at the gym, out with friends or my family to replenish my spirit and mind.
